Building Blocks: Teleportation Blocks

Don’t move because we got some exciting news to share – teleportation has come to Cubric in two exciting ways.  First, we’ve dropped teleportation portals across Cubric Island, so players can now travel instantly to different parts of the island.  Teleportation portals are color-coded, so stepping on one portal will transport you to the corresponding portal of the same color elsewhere on the island.  What does this mean for players?  Besides being an awesome visual, it ensures players get to the fun and their friends faster.

We’ve also added teleportation blocks to the Blueprint store because we’re curious to see how builders embrace them to transform their Obby or other Builds.  Need some inspiration?  We got you.

It’s About Time

Did you know scientists are exploring real-life teleportation through a concept called quantum teleportation, where information is transferred between particles across distances?  And it’s worked!  In fact, scientists in 2017 transmitted a particle on Earth to another particle on a satellite in low Earth orbit over 800 miles away.  

Actual human teleportation will require a lot more research before it’s successful.  At the atomic level, we would have to transfer not just one particle, but around seven billion, billion, billion atoms and we have nowhere near that capability yet.

• Download Cubric using the App Store and complete the onboarding process
• Enter the Blueprint Store 
• Browse the Packs and select the “Teleportation Pack”
• Purchase with the coins you have or buy some currency to complete the purchase
• Begin placing the teleportation portals on your plot as you wish.
